Plant based materials

Hello Joy!
The primary material we use is Jute.  Jute comes from the jute plant. The fibers are rough and textured, and they're extremely durable.   We also use cotton, linen and bamboo: all are eco-friendly fabrics because they are made from natural fibers derived from plants.

Yes, we do have some plastic in our bags.  Our bags are lined with an organic laminate, our straps are made from vegan leather, and our gourmet gift bags have plastic windows.  But wait, it's ok!  We primarily use plastic to increase sturdiness and the majority of our plastic is recycled from a previous plastic product.  

Our mission is to reduce single use plastic, not by perfection, but by choosing better.
Each one of our bags is a better choice.
